1. Play: One of the blogs I read re: the 23 Things discussed including time for play. That idea that discovery and learning can be fun is something we start to forget. 2. I've always allowed Wikipedia for info gathering but not as a traditional "source." The discussion did give me pause to reconsider although I'm not commpletely sold on the idea. There are caveats posted on a number of wikipedia's pages, my concern is that that students don't take those cautions to heart when they gather information. LMD

Among the "23 things" I am drawn to the idea of e-books. I looked through several sites and plan to download a reader. Concerning Wikipedia, I am most impressed by the "talk" pages, and the quotations library. SP

after reading about 'the 23 things', I am most interested in expanding my understanding of podcasts and the materials needed to sucessfully use them as a method of learning and assessment in the classroom. Re: Wikipedia, I see its value as a jumping off place/point for my students, especially considering the difficulty they would have interpreting many peer reviewed journals. BFH

The "23 things" shows me that we are all on a brand new journey. This journey will give all of us new ways to present information to our students. Watching our PreK students at ages three and four, I see we have to get aboard the train on these new techniques. It is exciting to see the changes and especially to see the level of engagement they bring to the classroom. The different techniques seem endless. MK

All the information about Wikipedia is extremely helpful. Knowing how it works and how it can be edited is important. It is clear Wikipedia has a useful place as students research and problem solve.MK

It is helpful to see how Wikipedia is edited and how it can be a legitimate source of information.

1. I am excited to learn more about blogs and wikis. I think they will be valuable tools to use in the language arts field. 2. As an English teacher, I have been programmed to be afraid of Wikipedia. I now see that it is actually quite an amazing source that is constantly being scrutinized and verified and edited and so on. PCD
